Use physics to animate your models so they can fall and rise smoothly, respond to physical impacts, and interact with their surroundings in a simple and controlled manner.
Easy setup
Create humanoid characters in a matter of clicks. Utilize many scene gadgets and automated aids to set up additional sets. Adjust every parameter while seeing a clear preview of the body's responses.
User-friendliness
You'll be able to move between setup phases fast thanks to a thoughtfully designed GUI.

Combine with Unity's physics elements
Because Ragdoll Animator makes use of rigidbody and joint physics, utilizing Unity's components with the ragdoll animator rig is simple. Use spring joints to give the impression that a character is attached to a rope. Using fixed joints, attach real items to the ragdoll animator rig.
Extra Functionality API
You can apply custom scripts in Ragdoll Animator update loops without changing the core code thanks to the plugin's "Extra Features" API. This allows for a number of interesting behaviors, and the release version comes with over 25 additional features.
Equipables API
This API allows you to affix helmeds and hand items to the ragdoll figure along with their physics. You may even apply custom heavyness to the items to affect the skeleton's physical animation.
Practical Utility Parts
Additional parts for Ragdoll Animator 2 include Joint Chains Generator / Single Animated Chain, which is very helpful for creating unique physical interactions, and Magnet Points, which are used for manipulating rigid bodies.
Outstanding Display of Talent
The fidelity of the plugin allows you to turn off aspects that you don't need in order to conserve CPU power. By selecting the green debug icon, you can continuously view the price of each Ragdoll Animator in the inspector window. Using Extra Features, you can activate camera view and distance-based or level of detail optimization.

Reminder about Ragdoll Animator 1:
This is a complete overhaul of Ragdoll Animator 1, offering far better control, a simpler setup process, and a ton of new capabilities. Ragdoll Animator 1 owners can all upgrade to Ragdoll Animator 2 for free! It also implies that you will have to re-set Ragdoll Animator 2 for your characters. To use Ragdoll Animator 2, you must first remove body produced components and Ragdoll Animator 1 from your character. Ragdoll Animator 1 folders can now be deleted from your project.Â
Information about Unity versions below 2022:
Ragdoll Animator 2 is compatible with older Unity versions, such as 2019, but scene downgrade conversion may create problems with demos. You can find the unitypackage "Demos - Unity Versions Below 2022 fix" under the ragdoll animator directory. This package fixes most conversion problems. (First, unpack the demonstrations, then fix them.)
Unity 6 alert:
From version 6.0 to 6.0.9, Configurable Joints limits are flawed.
See if your version has the fix by checking the bug tracker.
