Weather Maker is Unity's most complete weather, water, day/night cycle, volumetric cloud, fog, and light system, as well as terrain overlay and sky system.
The last piece of equipment you'll need for the sky, weather, and more in your Unity game or app is Weather Maker, which comes with both 2D and 3D variants. Complete shader and C# source code are included! Your scene is ready to go, all you need to do is drop in a prefab! You'll save many hours of development time with Weather Maker.
Value
Weather Maker is a multipurpose tool. The sky, day/night cycle, water, fog and light, lightning, ambient sound, and the weather are all examples. Purchasing each component separately and integrating them over several months would cost you at least $300 USD. Alternatively, you could get Weather Maker and have everything connected right away.
Achievement
For years, Weather Maker has been fine-tuned to achieve optimal performance. To guarantee the highest FPS, Weather Maker adjusts to the Unity quality setting. Custom solutions can be achieved by customizing the Weather Maker effects using performance profiles.
Offset of Floating Point Origin
An easy-to-use floating point origin offset solution is included in Weather Maker. You can select a distance to return the camera position to 0,0,0 in flight simulators or big planets. In the event that the camera moves beyond this point (0,0,0), Weather Maker will initiate a callback event. You can ask Weather Maker to reposition every object in the root game for you, or you can do it yourself in the callback event. You can use the provided cumulative offset in any shaders that produce noise based on world positions. In the event that you require it to rearrange game objects or do additional logic, the current offset is also supplied.
Clouds with Volumetric Properties
Modern shaders and performance techniques are used to create stunning volumetric clouds that don't slow down your frame rate. For that AAA appearance and feel, rolling, wispy, and epic clouds respond to directed, ambient lighting and lightning. Clouds are easily visible even in cubemaps with water reflection. Cloud probes, which operate on the GPU, make it simple to retrieve cloud density for any Transform component. The best part is that god rays are integrated into the clouds and you may fly through them. Clouds can receive cascade shadow map shadows and interact well with the depth buffer.
Β Sky and Atmosphere
An industry standard, physically based sky and volumetric atomspheric scattering system licensed under BSD is included in Weather Maker. Make sure your camera has a large far plane so that the atmospheric scattering and sky sphere merge in perfectly with your image to create a beautiful planet curve at the far plane. The sky sphere may render a wide variety of texture types, such as day and dawn/dusk textures, as well as a rotating night sky. There is only one 2D texture required for everyone, no cube map. Excellent performance. Everything about it is adjustable.
Effects of Weather
Hail, sleet, rain, and snow are what this weather needs. All of the lights in your scene properly illuminate particle systems. Every weather impact, both auditory and visual, fades smoothly to provide a realistic and seamless experience. Trees and particles are impacted by wind as well. Prefabs for attenuating sound are included in case the player enters the building. Also available are ground-based animated puddles. Weather is kept out of indoor spaces via null zones.
Integration of Weather API
Although creating your own weather api provider is very simple, Weather Maker already interfaces with Open Weather Map.
